What is primary need, challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?
The Associate Security Engineer will support the Information Security organization in security and protecting the infrastructure. You will respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities by analyzing, prioritizing, remediating, and reporting on findings.
In this role, you will assist in the design, build and maintenance of security tools that support detection on host, network, identity access, runtime applications, and infrastructure. As well as assist in security reviews of production infrastructure and internal systems.
You will develop runbooks and playbooks for alerting and incident response, publish various Metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement. You will build automation and orchestration to integrate security into technology and processes.
You will consult with internal stakeholders on vulnerabilities, security incidents, and infrastructure security best practices. Overall, you will advocate security and best practices across Dizzion.
What Other Skills Give Me an Advantage?
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Cyber Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Network Security
- Technical understanding of cyber security technology & processes, networking, virtualization, and cloud
- Technical knowledge of operating system best practices for Windows and Linux systems
- Familiarity with open-source security tools
- Excellent troubleshooting and investigative techniques
Preferred Skills
- Hands on experience building or deploying in AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud platforms
- Experience in IT Help Desk Support or System Administrator role
- Experience in Software Defined Networking (SD-WAN)
- Experience with Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Vmware NSX
- Experience operating in PCI, HIPAA, and GDPR environments
- Experience building and securing cloud infrastructure
- Scripting / Programming experience in Python, Go, Powershell, etc.
- Expertise with malware analysis, forensics, or threat intelligence
- Experience with automating manual security processes
- Hands on experience with SIEM, IDS, firewalls, network security, and vulnerability management tools
- Experience with log analysis, incident response, and detection mechanisms
- Security Certifications such as (Cloud, Cisco, SANS)

Compensation
- $75,000 – $110,000 annually (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, and alignment of market data.)
- Quarterly bonus program
