Business Analyst

What is primary need, challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?

The Business Analyst will play a key role in lifecycle product and program development projects. In this role, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to gain an understanding of current business processes, key workstreams, our customer’s journey, customer’s experience, and customer needs and requirements.

You will continually analyze market, business, technical, and client inputs to form business requirement documents (BRDs) and translate business requirement documents into user stories, functional descriptions, expected outcomes and similar artifacts.

You will effectively participate in or own functional and user acceptance testing (UAT), and report on quality and effect rates for sprint retrospectives. You will also manage defect remediation, continuous improvement, and similar workflows in conjunction with Product Management.

You will perform other duties as assigned.

What Other Skills Give Me an Advantage?

  • A good communicator, able to translate unstructured input and feedback into actionable BRDs and user journeys / stories
  • Prior Agile DevOps or sprint management experience
  • Prior experience in a software development field or area
  • Prior experience with testing frameworks and methodologies
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance

Preferred Skills:

  • SCRUM or similar certification
  • Lean Six Sigma or better
  • Experience working in compliant organizations

Compensation

  • $70,000 - $90,000 annually (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, and alignment of market data.)
  • Quarterly bonus program
