What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?

The Controller will be responsible for building, developing and mentoring the accounting team and managing all accounting functions, including revenue, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, payroll, and financial reporting.  The Controller will also be responsible for developing the processes and systems to ensure that the accounting function is set up to handle hyper growth and operates with strong internal controls.

What will your day look like...

You will build and develop the accounting team, including goal setting and performance management, while managing all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, billing, collections, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, as well as manage revenue and cash projections.

You will partner with the operations team to understand the status of customer projects, evaluate revenue recognition and prepare accurate billing, as well as, develop efficient and accurate processes for revenue recognition in a dynamically changing environment.

You will also partner the FP&A analyst as well as the leadership team and other management to provide accurate and timely financial insights on the business to facilitate sound business decisions. Working with the FP&A analyst for KPI tracking, financial reporting and tracking budget drivers.

You will develop and implement strong internal controls as well as, lead the annual audit process by working directly with auditors and managing the preparation of audit schedules.

Additional responsibilities include: calculating and analyzing sales commissions, processing semi-monthly payroll, managing sales/use tax processes in multiple jurisdictions, point of contact for customers and vendors, managing the implementation and maintenance of ERP system (currently in process), and building relationships at all levels of the organization to promote strong communication.

Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

What Other Skills Give Me an Advantage?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and understanding of GAAP accounting required
  • Mandatory minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience
  • International accounting experience a plus
  • 3+ years supervisory experience
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Accounting ERP system and Microsoft Excel
  • CPA a plus

  • $90,000 - $110,000 annually (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, and alignment of market data.)
