What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?
You will be partnering with the Senior Vice President of Operations in analyzing the current operations by taking a look at the PM methods, processes and tools used so far in the company, while scrutinizing the most important current projects for weaknesses. All this will serve as background in setting up a formal Project Management Office to ensure development and implementation of consistent as well as standardized business processes to establish a repeatable process, leveraging methodologies and tools that drive high impact delivery and communication throughout project / program lifecycle.

Additionally, you will be designing and leading the Strategic Execution Team (SET) to deliver programs and projects that have the most impact on the business relative to the investment, improve consistency and deliver higher quality across the enterprise. You will play a critical role in the day-to-day success of the company to ensure all strategic programs, projects and initiatives are defined, planned, tracked, communicated throughout the lifecycle and completed with maximum impact. This role will work cross-functionally across the operations teams to be the 'glue' that facilitates the flow of new customer integration and features to our customers while keeping our quality bar high.

What Other Skills Give Me an Advantage?

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or Management, or equivalent of 10+ years of related experience
  • Expert-level knowledge of project and change management along with associated methodologies, techniques, processes and approaches
  • Experience leading multiple complex projects in the technology industry
  • Completion of formal externally recognized project certification requirements (e.g. PMI, PMP) preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects with Agile scrum methodology
  • Technology industry experience preferred
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships with key functional stakeholders to drive focus on business goals

What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?
The hiring manager for this role is Kwesi Ames, Senior Vice President of Operations. Kwesi leads the Operations department with functional responsibility that includes technical operations, platform engineering and customer support. He brings 22 years of experience in information technology and operations. Ames previously served as vice president of site reliability engineering at Salesforce (~10 years).

You are expected to mentor new project managers and team members to improve delivery of projects on time and within budget, given scope and known risks. Your solutions should be following best practices, be well tested and documented.

  • $130,000 - $160,000 annually (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, and alignment of market data.)
  • Quarterly bonus program
