Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Analyst

What is the primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?
You will be partnering with the Finance and Accounting Team to develop and execute the annual budgeting process, continuous forecasting, perform complex financial analysis and deliver reports to company leaders and executives to inform key strategic and operating decisions. You will be involved in regular interaction with senior company executives and finance team personnel. Additionally, you will work on high-level strategic projects, board materials, analyses and forecasting for different business cases, and collaborate directly with different team members, from sales and marketing to people and operations, depending on the project.
Furthermore, you will perform in-depth analysis of performance versus budget, including variance analyses and develop improvements to and execute the company’s annual budget and continuous forecast process, including linkages between granular business drivers, operational KPIs and financial statements. In doing so, you will be responsible to enhance the company’s KPI tracking by researching and staying up to date with industry relevant KPIs.
This role will become the expert on key business drivers and perform detailed cost/benefit analysis to provide analytic insights that are useful in making strategic business decisions including, working closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, performing regular analysis of sales and marketing metrics, assist in the preparation of corporate reporting (including board reports), and continually improve the quality and scalability of reporting and analysis by identifying and implementing new tools, automation and other processes to provide meaningful data visualization dashboards and other reporting tools.
