Marketing Intern Job Description

Dizzion is seeking a Marketing Intern to join its growing team! This internship provides a great opportunity for hands-on experience in the B2B tech space. We’re looking for someone who will take initiative, embrace opportunities for improvement, and drive projects independently. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, our intern will interact closely our Digital Marketing Manager and Content Marketing Manager while also getting exposure to other teams such as product, sales, sales engineering, HR and executive leadership. We are looking for a marketing, business, or communications major who is currently a junior and will be able to work 30 hours per week this summer from our downtown office. Ideally, the candidate would stay on during the 2017-2018 school year in a part-time capacity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research event opportunities and support the execution of events (i.e. tradeshows, industry roundtables, joint partner events) from planning to post-event measurement.
  • Assist with the administration of enterprise-grade sales and marketing tools including Salesforce.com and Marketo.
  • Help to coordinate the social media and content calendars in tandem with other marketing team members.
  • Make regular website updates and blog posts within the Wordpress CMS platform.
  • Research market and competitive trends to drive content and social media opportunities.
  • Sales enablement and lead generation projects such as data mining, campaign planning, and partner support.
  • Support the ongoing measurement and tracking of marketing effectiveness using tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Salesforce.com, Marketo, Wordpress, etc.
  • Writing and content support related to marketing assets, corporate communications, and social media plan.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field. Junior academic status or is preferred.
  • Available and willing to work 30 hours per week this summer and three days per week during the school year (approximately 15 hours per week).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and follow through on projects. Able to effectively juggle priorities and manage time accordingly.
  • Enthusiasm, self-motivated and a passion for learning. Willingness to work hard and have fun with the Dizzion team!
