What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?

As a Sales Engineer, you will be partnering with the Dizzion direct and channel sales teams providing technical support and solution designs for direct and partner customer opportunities. You will be responsible for establishing relationships and will be a face and voice of Dizzion. In addition, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with operations and engineering team members and voicing product change and creation direction based on customer and prospect opportunities. Additionally, you will be a key contributor to product innovation, supporting product development, best practices and enablement/training.

Reporting to the Vice President of Product and Strategy, you will also: use superior product knowledge to design and differentiate solutions, effectively communicating complex capabilities to a diverse internal/external audience; provide solution design collaboration with operations and support teams assisting with the onboarding and integration of new customers; talk with customers and engineers to assess customer needs and to determine system requirements; gain customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements; determine improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment and engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services; assist with preparing pricing quotations, proposals and RFI/RFP responses; serve customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of product offerings, equipment, and services on customer and prospect calls, meetings; maintain positive customer relations post installation in support of future account growth.

Requirements

What Other Skills Give Me an Advantage?· 

  • Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent of 5+ years of related experience
  • Sales engineering experience in Virtualization/Cloud/SaaS technology or related industry with selling outsourced IT solutions (VMware, Citrix)
  • Critical listening skills to fully understand and translate complex prospect/customer requirements and business alignment
  • Comfortable presenting to high-ranking executives at well-known global brands
  • ROI/TCO experience In-depth understanding of the enterprise sales process
  • Experienced user of leading software/tools to maximize efficiency and effectiveness (Salesforce, Visio/Lucidchart, Office365, Teams, etc.)
  • Highly organized and agile, maintaining high levels of productivity amidst changing priorities
  • Tenacious learner with a passion for teaching others
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to make decisions and work independently

The hiring manager for this role is Brady Ranum, Vice President of Product and Strategy. Brady leads the Sales Engineer team with functional responsibility that includes streamlining and standardizing product, delivery, customer success, and compliance. He brings over 20 years' experience in information technology, sales engineering, and operations. Ranum previously served as VP Product Strategy/Strategic Sales for ViaWest (~15 years).     We hire people from various technology program management backgrounds. Compensation

  • Minimum $115,000 annually (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, and alignment of market data.) 
  • Quarterly bonus program
  • Sales commission plan
