What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?
The Scrum Master will help our Engineering teams become more effective at using Agile/Scrum methodologies by following Agile procedures and ceremonies to produce high quality work, while maintaining a safe working environment by protecting team members from outside interruptions and distractions. You will help create self-organizing teams that are flexible and fully productive during sprints and facilitate good relationships between team members and business stakeholders to promote a productive environment where team members can work with maximum efficiency. Responsibilities also include managing timelines, coaching and mentoring team members, helping with conflict resolution, and helping team members achieve professional goals. We are an Agile/Scrum shop big on continuous improvement so expect to be running sprint planning meetings, stand-ups, retrospectives and post-mortems. While working closely with other engineering leaders, you’ll help drive innovation & establish best practices across the organization as we scale.
What will your day look like...
As our Scum Master, you will lead and coach team members on self-organization, cross-functional skillsets, effective communication, and how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.
You are a strong communicator who is responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and team members adhere to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines while building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
You will be responsible to develop high performing teams by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
You will work with internal and external stakeholders, to improve transparency, influence, drive decision making, support organizational teams; owning KPIs and presenting to leadership and stake holders as necessary.
You will also contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices while also resolving team impediments to increase the effectiveness of Scrum within the organization. In addition, you will facilitate and support all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, etc., and oversee and manage the scope, timeline, quality, goals, and deliverables that support Dizzion business goals.
Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

The hiring manager for this role is Robert Green, founder, president and Chief Technology Officer of Dizzion. Rob oversees all aspects of technology including strategy, infrastructure, systems, tools, and development. He brings over 25 years of experience in technical infrastructure, operations, product development, and architecture. Green previously served as Executive Vice President of Cloud Services at MDSV and Director of Product Development and Systems Architecture at ViaWest.
