Senior UI/UX Designer


LOCATION | Fully Remote

What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?

As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will be a key member of the team that delivers the advanced orchestration and automation of complex end user computing platform (virtual desktops, applications and digital workspace) from start to end across different cloud environments. You will be responsible for developing the look and feel of the Front End User interfaces for Dizzion’s Cosmos Control Center (C3) portal; that automatically builds, customizes, and operates advanced digital workspaces. You will have knowledge of professional web application design best practices for the full suite of applications, including image standards, mokups/wireframe reviews, and messaging consistency. You will be encouraged to leverage a full spectrum of user centered design techniques, to create user-friendly design concepts utilizing industry insights, customer interviews, focus groups, and competitive benchmark findings to effectively implement design improvements.

In addition, you will have hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, focused on front-end user interfaces optimizing how users navigate and operate the platform. This role will require in-depth knowledge of user portal design techniques, structuring interfaces that perform action ( orchestrate) and list data in dashboards and tables.

Lastly, you will have experience leading design driven by customer research, and working collaboratively across other lines of business to optimize the user experience.

What Other Skills Give Me an Advantage?

  • BS in Design, Human Computer Interaction, Information Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience: 5+ years of engineering/development experience
  • Experience with Cloud Technologies, virtualization, containers, web services, RESTful APIs
  • In-depth knowledge of user portal design techniques, structuring interfaces that perform action (orchestrate) and list data in dashboards and tables
  • 5+ years of Interaction Design work experience for web experiences
  • 5+ years Experience with Figma, Sketch, InVision, or other collaborative prototyping software
  • 3+ years experience with creating/consuming/modifying web app templates such as bootstrap
  • 2+ years experience with portal application design
  • Online/PDF portfolio
  • Excellent debugging, unit and functional testing
  • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and professional integrity
  • Ability to handle multiple competing matters with poise
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience UI design patterns and modern aesthetics
  • Experience with multiple javascript frameworks
  • Proven ability to create cohesive design for large-scale / commercial-grade applications
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS
  • Experience creating cross-platform, multi-browser, web user interfaces with Yii2, Python, and JavaScript frameworks (Bootstrap, Node, Angular, React, Vue)
  • Experience creating responsive web applications with layout systems such as CSS grid and flexbox
  • Experience with creating designs from design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, Adobe Suite, etc.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to make decisions and work independently

The hiring manager for this role is Robert Green, President, CTO, and co-founder at Dizzion.  Rob is the visionary for defining Dizzion’s products. He oversees all aspects of technology including strategy, infrastructure, systems, tools and development.  Green previously held the position of Director, Product Development and System Architecture at ViaWest. While at ViaWest he redefined the managed services offering and created several innovative products. Green also served as the Director of Technical Infrastructure for Rackspace Managed Hosting where he established the internal infrastructure systems and external technical services that fueled exploding triple digit growth throughout the mid 2000’s.

  • $115,000 -$125,000 annually (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, and alignment of market data.)
