OVERVIEW – VIRTUAL SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
We are currently seeking a Virtual Support Administrator (VSA). Playing a critical role in the day-to-day success of our customers, the selected candidate will primarily be responsible for handling operations, provisioning and support of customers on our Cloud Delivered Desktop platform. This unique technical position will support every aspect of the customer from sales through support. This individual will be responsible for establishing a relationship with our customers and will be the face and voice of the company.

WHAT YOU WILL DO – RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, configure & manage VMware ESXi Server Infrastructure and its components
  • Perform software and hardware upgrades & patching during and after hours
  • Provision, manage and upgrade of guest VMs and templates during and after hours
  • Troubleshooting VMware issues, monitoring & root cause analysis during and after hours
  • Following asset and Change Management procedures, for the VMware assets
  • Server decommission
  • Provide 24 X 7 hardware & software support, and be part of on-call rotation and escalation process
  • Perform other duties as assigned

WHO YOU ARE – JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 plus years supporting Windows Desktop environments in a help desk setting
  • 3 plus years of customer facing interaction and direct end user support
  • 3 Plus years in a managed services environment or a combination of hosting experience and equivalent certification(s)
  • 2 plus years using VMware Virtualization in a production capacity (5.x and 6.x)
  • 3 plus years of professional work with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop operating systems (Windows Server 2012-2019 and Windows 10)
  • Working knowledge of network communications
  • Working knowledge of system security standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT technology-related discipline preferred

  • COMPENSATION

    • $55,000 - $75,000 annually (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment of market data.)
    • Quarterly bonus program
