Dizzion Expands HIPAA HITECH Compliant Desktop Solution, Sees Growing Client Interest

March 5, 2018

HIPAA complianceDenver, CO – March 5, 2018 – Dizzion, a full-service end user computing (EUC) and virtual desktop provider, announces that its HIPAA HITECH compliant virtual desktop solution has passed an annual audit and is independently verified in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH) and the Breach Notification Rule.

This year, Dizzion’s Attestation of Compliance has been expanded to also include the company’s secure zLink endpoint solutions. The zLink endpoint solution suite includes three approaches to endpoint management that extend the useful life of hardware and make BYOD more secure. All three solutions are now covered within Dizzion’s HIPAA compliant virtual desktop offering.

Dizzion launched a HIPAA HITECH compliant virtual desktop solution in December 2016, following an audit by cyber risk management advisors Coalfire. The solution makes it easier for organizations that collect, store, transmit or access personal health information (PHI) to achieve and maintain compliance while also enabling them to embrace modern workforce trends such as mobility and remote working.

“Cyber risk continues to grow and health records are a common target, but getting to a point where you’re compliant is a time and resource intensive undertaking for all organizations,” said Steve Prather, Dizzion CEO. “Dizzion set out to build the most comprehensive HIPAA compliant virtual desktop solution on the market to address those challenges and we remain committed to ensuring that our solution meets our customers’ expectations today and in the future. With compliance and security only getting more complicated, this validation provides our clients peace of mind.”

The number of healthcare data breaches has increased year over year, reinforcing healthcare organizations’ and business associates’ need for HIPAA compliant services and solutions. Since initially gaining HIPAA HITECH compliance validation, Dizzion has seen increased client demand in healthcare, particularly within the tele-health, medical coding, insurance claims processing and service provider spaces.

“In looking at all the DaaS solutions available with HIPAA Compliance, Dizzion was the clear leader when it comes to operational experience and expertise to back it up,” said Kurt Bertelsen, CIO of MOBE, a Dizzion customer using the HIPAA compliant solution. “Dizzion is more than just a “check the box” organization and they deeply understand the HIPAA compliance environment.”

In addition to a HIPAA HITECH compliant solution, Dizzion also offers a PCI DSS compliant solution for organizations subject to Payment Card Industry compliance standards.
