What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?
As a Director of Application Engineering, you will be a key member of the team that delivers the advanced orchestration and automation of complex end user computing platform (virtual desktops, applications and digital workspace) from start to end across different cloud environments. You will be responsible for the development of Dizzion’s software platform - Cosmos Control Center (C3) portal; that automatically builds, customizes, and operates an advanced digital workspace. You will have expert knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. You will be encouraged to work across all layers of code while maintaining a firm understanding of software architecture while conforming to the reference architecture. This position requires development skills in Core Java, Javascript, Golang, some Python and Powershell; including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
In addition, you will have hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between (analysis and approach to the problem). This role requires a solid understanding of TCPIP, Cloud services, Virtualization, Containers, installing Linux web-based solutions, networking concepts, micro-services, and event driven architecture.
Lastly, you will have experience with leading developers to create distributed computing and enterprise systems, driving the architecture and design of large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications including but not limited to databases, tools, systems and services using service-oriented architecture, object-oriented design, distributed programming, Java, and SQL.

The hiring manager for this role is Robert Green, President, CTO, and co-founder at Dizzion. Rob is the visionary for defining Dizzion’s products. He oversees all aspects of technology including strategy, infrastructure, systems, tools and development. Green previously held the position of Director, Product Development and System Architecture at ViaWest. While at ViaWest he redefined the managed services offering and created several innovative products. Green also served as the Director of Technical Infrastructure for Rackspace Managed Hosting where he established the internal infrastructure systems and external technical services that fueled exploding triple digit growth throughout the mid 2000’s.
