The first three months of 2018 went by like a flash! Between our own exciting announcements and some great mentions in the news, Dizzion has (as always) remained busy working hard to bring you the most sought after and cutting edge end user computing solutions.
In case you missed it, here is our notable news from Q1 2018.
The Dizzion Control Center is an easy-to-use portal that allows our clients to monitor and manage their virtual desktops from a centralized location. In early 2018 we announced an exciting new addition to the Control Center — deep business analytics. This new feature set allows teams to watch trends, compare time periods and analyze usage to make data-driven business decisions that have real impacts on a company’s effectiveness and budget.
In 2016 Dizzion became the first desktop as as service (DaaS) provider to offer an independently audited PCI DSS compliant virtual desktop solution. As organizations face increasing cybersecurity threats and struggle to maintain PCI compliance, Dizzion’s solution has passed its second annual audit and continues to meet Level 1 PCI DSS compliance requirements.
This is particularly exciting news as only 55% of organizations that handle payment card data are 100% fully compliant.
The healthcare industry continues to struggle with data security and HIPAA compliance, particularly as care providers and contractors handling PHI are increasingly mobile or remote. Dizzion began offering a HIPAA HITECH compliant virtual desktop solution in 2016 and quickly saw interest from existing and new clients.
This year’s annual independent audit extended to include Dizzion’s secure endpoint solutions, offering clients even more options for creating a secure, mobile-ready, compliant desktop environment.
Brian Madden has been a well respected virtual desktop expert for years, so whatever he’s keeping an eye on is typically a good area to watch. While Brian doesn’t make exact predictions, this year he highlighted six companies and topics he’s excited to see develop in 2018. On of those areas is DaaS. Brian thinks we’ll see more SMBs adopting desktop as a service solutions this year, including from Dizzion!
Finding the right service provider can be tricky, so “Best of” lists are always popular. Dizzion was honored to be included in PlatterofGold‘s list as a great fully managed option.
IGEL’s new DISRUPT End User Computing Forum made some big waves in February. Several Dizzion team members were in attendance, including CTO and co-founder Rob Green. VMblog was able to grab a few minutes with Rob to get his take on where EUC technology is headed and tips on making the move to the cloud.

Dizzion’s VP of Product and Strategy shared some insights on how Dizzion and our customers are using IGEL’s secure endpoint solutions to help power the future of desktop virtualization and remote desktop access.
Today’s DaaS isn’t like the original attempts at VDI (hint: it works much better!). These important changes — coupled with a general move toward cloud solutions, a widespread need for increased data security and a shift back to focusing on business-driving projects instead of being stretched too thin — make 2018 an ideal time for desktop as a service.
See what Rob Green says is the trick to successful desktop virtualization today.
