Last Thursday, the Dizzion team hosted a webinar, Dizzion Control Center: Brining Transparency, Productivity and Insights to VDI, to showcase the features and functionality of the Dizzion Control Center. The webinar, hosted by Dizzion CTO Rob Green and VP of Product and Strategy Brady Ranum, featured an informative and insightful discussion on:
VDI should drive productivity
Unquestionably, the overarching goal of any virtual desktop platform is to drive productivity. With an increasingly mobile workforce, providing a solution that allows employees to be productive regardless of time and location is key to any successful business. VDI is not solely an IT project, but rather, a business project that permeates throughout all departments. During the webinar, Rob Green stated:
“Our goal in developing Control Center Insights is really about appealing to all aspects of the business, not just the technical side of the house, but also the business side.”
Unlike some desktop as a service (DaaS) providers that only focus on the end users, help desk employees or engineers, the Dizzion Control Center boasts data and analytics that will help business managers and executives make impactful decisions that can aid in driving profitable returns.
The missing piece to VDI
In the past, VDI has been like a black box. It’ put in place, but teams didn’t have much insight into how it was working or how end users were engaging with the solution. Companies looking for comprehensive VDI insights have had to piece together expensive platforms to get the data necessary to make smart business decisions. Managers and executives have often been forced to interview employees one-by-one in order to gather anecdotal information about application use and VDI performance. These issues not only hinder a company’s performance, but also limit the information that key decision makers have access to.
The solution: Dizzion Control Center Insights
Dizzion’s Control Center & Business Insights combines the tools and features necessary to manage a successful VDI environment while also providing deep analytics and insights – all accessible from a single pane of glass.
“[Control Center Insights] is unbelievably informative. It has so much information to give and it’s really quick to access, which is one of the things I love about it,” stated Brady Ranum.
The Dizzion Control Center goes beyond VDI management tools like ticketing, capacity planning and day-to-day maintenance. The business-focused insights (the piece that is missing from most VDI implementations) surfaced in the same easy-to-use interface supplies managers with the information and real-time snapshots needed to manage users and individual desktops. The functionality of Control Center Insights provides not only the ability to pinpoint and solve desktop functionality issues, but also allows for network analyses, user trends, productivity insights and more. It allows organizations to be proactive rather than reaction, leading to faster issue resolution and better information decision making that can result in revenue positive changes.
