- Managed DaaS
- Happy End Users
Desktops as a service (DaaS) introduces desktops to the current trend of moving software and solutions away from in-house building and maintenance and into the cloud. Instead of the the time, cost, resource and labor intensive process of building (the maintaining and updating) VDI in-house, DaaS allows companies to take advantage of all the benefits of virtual desktops by outsourcing with an expert solution provider.
As with other complicated applications, outsourcing VDI means you get the benefit of a custom-built solution. This time, it’s one that’s designed and fine tuned specifically to deliver high performance, highly secure virtual desktops. Outsourcing also allows you to choose the level of in-house involvement you want. Do you just need the product and are willing to do a lot of the set up and customizing yourself? There are big box options that offer just that (and little else). But if you want to ensure VDI experts are on hand throughout the entire implementation process as well as there to help trouble shoot during the duration of your contract, then you can opt for a fully-managed DaaS solution.
The truth is, exactly what you get with DaaS depends on what provider you choose. Each DaaS provider will have a different approach to the underlying infrastructure and architecture of their solution, offer a slightly different range of features and capabilities, and will have different levels of implementation and support help.
We’ve created several resources to help you evaluate and document your own needs as well as clear information on what you’ll get with Dizzion’s DaaS offering. Making the right decisions to fit your organization, needs and expectations is critical to any successful project, and we want to make it as easy and transparent for you as possible.
Enjoy these resources for planning your virtual desktop project and evaluating if Dizzion is the right fit for you.
